How Do I Change The Background Music? (Android)

On Android, you can change or turn off background music from the Home page or directly from the bottom of your meditation screen.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open the Abide app and go to the Home page.

2. Tap the music icon in the upper-left corner.

3. Swipe left or right to browse the available music options.

4. Tap a track to select it—your selection will be highlighted in blue.

5. Use the volume toggle to adjust the background music level.

6. Choose when you’d like the music to play:

   • At App Open – If you want a calming prelude to your meditation, or music while you browse the app.

   • During Playback – Music plays throughout your meditations. This is especially helpful if you’re doing a longer meditation with more space between readings.

   • After Playback – Set music to continue your time in the Word as long as you need it.

   • Outside the App – Abide music superfans, you have the option to keep the music going.  It’ll play in the background as you start or end your day.

To turn off music completely, simply toggle all options OFF.
