About Streaks
What are Streaks?
A streak is the number of days in a row you have listened to content in the app. Your streak starts at zero and increases by one for each day you listen.
Why are Streaks important?
It can be hard to stay on your journey toward experiencing the peace of Christ. With streaks, you are reminded to maintain consistent practice so you can be intentional about forming healthy spiritual habits.
We know that salvation is not because of works, but the Bible urges us to hide Godβs Word in our hearts so that we might not sin against Him. Streaks are never intended to make you feel guilty when you break them, but to encourage you to keep following Jesus and to track how spending time in meditation on Scripture helps you experience His peace.
How do Abide Streaks work?
The app tracks your listening activity so that it can present you with useful information about your habits and encourage you when you reach milestones. The clock resets at 3 am local time. If you miss a day, your streak will be saved in your history and a new one will start.
Streaks are optional.
If using streaks doesnβt support your faith journey, simply turn them off in settings. The app will continue to track activity in the background in case you decide to turn the feature on again.
