Quick Answer:
A streak is the number of days in a row you’ve listened to Abide content. It helps encourage consistency in your spiritual practice, but it’s completely optional — you can turn it off anytime in Settings.
✨ What Are Streaks?
-
A streak counts how many consecutive days you’ve listened to meditations, sleep stories, or Bible content in the Abide app.
-
Your streak starts at 0 and goes up by 1 each day you listen.
🙌 Why Are Streaks Important?
-
Building a daily rhythm of meditation can help you experience the peace of Christ.
-
Streaks serve as a gentle reminder to stay consistent and grow healthy spiritual habits.
-
They are never meant to cause guilt if you miss a day — rather, they encourage you to continue following Jesus and meditating on His Word.
📅 How Do Streaks Work?
-
The streak clock resets at 3:00 AM (local time) each day.
-
Once your streak reaches 5 days, if you miss a day, we’ll freeze your streak for up to 3 days.
-
If you come back and listen within those 3 days, your streak will resume where you left off.
-
-
If you’re away for longer than 3 days, your streak will be saved in your History, and a new streak will start the next time you listen.
⚙️ Can I Turn Off Streaks?
Yes. Streaks are optional. If they don’t support your faith journey, you can turn them off in More > Settings.
-
Even if you turn them off, Abide will continue to track your activity in the background, so you can turn streaks back on later without losing your progress.
